FOA | $25,000 NMOSD/MOG-AD RESEARCH GRANTS

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

In 2022, The Sumaira Foundation is awarding research grants (maximum award up to $25,000) to nonprofit organizations, researchers, and/or institutions engaged in research into prevention, treatments, and a cure(s) for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOG-AD).

Since launching our grants program in 2018, TSF has awarded $300,000 to fund 14 research projects in the United States.

In 2022, we are excited to invite our international community to apply for TSF’s SPARK and Unicorn grants.

SPARK grants aim to fund adult NMOSD/MOG-AD research.
Established in March 2019, Joannie’s Unicorn Grant has been created to fund pediatric NMOSD/MOG-AD research in honor of a young patient who lost her battle to neuromyelitis optica in February 2019.

Application Instructions & Deadline
Applications must be submitted through the online form by September 16, 2022.  

The TSF grant committee will review all applications by October 25, 2022.  

Grant recipients will be acknowledged on November 16, 2022.

Checks will be distributed by December 31, 2022.
