On Sunday, September 13th, 2026, the community came together at Weston Town Hall for TSF’s annual 5K for Rare Neuroimmune Disorders.
Despite the rain, spirits were high, smiles were everywhere and 91 participants showed up to run, walk, roll, cheer and stand together for a cause that is personal to so many of us.
With 135 registrations and $10,000 raised, this event was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with purpose. 100% of the proceeds will be used to fund research for rare neuroimmune disorders, helping advance our understanding of these diseases and move us closer to better treatments and, ultimately, better outcomes for patients and families.
We were honored to welcome Senator Michael J. Barrett as our special guest and grateful to the Weston Observer for helping share our story and shine a light on the rare neuroimmune disease community.

We’d also like to acknowledge Fred and Kristen, both living with NMOSD, who each organized fundraisers to support the 5K.
Their initiative, generosity and commitment to turning your personal experiences into action are exactly what community advocacy is all about. Thank you for helping make this event and its impact even greater.
And to all of our volunteers: we could not have done this without you. From the planning and preparation to the mile markers, registration, cheering and everything in between, you showed up and made it happen.
A 5K may be measured in miles, but its impact is measured in so much more.
And in communities coming together to say: we are here, we matter and we are moving forward.
To everyone who joined us on September 13th, thank you for braving the rain, bringing your energy and making this day so memorable.
